Hold your horses, that’s not how it’s done. Like kimchi, you will need to be patient and let things ferment.

Before you get in her pants, you have to date her. Although not every girl is the same and these are just some generalizations, here are some surprising Korean dating rules you need to know.
1. Be prepared to pay
You need deep pockets if you want to bag a Korean girl. It’s a norm that the guy pays for 90% of the dates, and then some. If your Korean girlfriend never reaches for her wallet when the bill comes, or doesn’t thank you for paying for the date… don’t take offence. This is just the norm for her society.
2. You’re practically married
From the get-go, Korean couples go all out and make an external display of their togetherness. Get yourselves a pair of rings, worn on the 4th finger (yep! You read that right). These are couple rings like promise rings and are worn pretty early on in the relationship. Do call each other “husband” and “wife” too.
3. The 30 Day rule
So, maybe you’ve been used to a 2 date or 3 dates rule when it comes to initiating any sort of intimacy. But with a Korean girl, you need to observe a 30-day rule. Of course, this is a generalization and 30 days is just a ballpark figure, but the main point is that although their mindset of sex before marriage is changing as the country evolves and is exposed to more influences from all over, there’s still a stigma on girls having sex before marriage being seen as promiscuous. So take it slow.
4. Keep close contact
Maybe even glue your phone permanently to your hand. You need to maintain much more contact than just one phone call a day. Korean couples use kakaotalk messenger (or similar apps) to keep each other updated non-stop. Expect to update each other every step of the way from good morning to goodnight.
5. Remember your anniversary
Actually, it’s anniversaries… lots of them. And you thought Valentine’s day was a money-making sham? Here are some additional special couple days you need to add to your calendar.

Diary Day (January 1st), Rose Day (May 14th), Kiss Day (June 14th), Silver Day (July 14th), Green Day (August 14th), Photo Day (September 14th), Wine Day (October 14th), Movie Day (November 14th), Hug Day (December 14th).
Remember to wish her, and plan something special on those days!
With all that work involved, make sure you pick one that’s worth it! Good luck!
